Supported File Types

m4v, mp4 and mov format (with mpeg4 or h.264 codec only)

[Notes] Even when you get videos (“Movies”, “TV Shows”, “Music Video” and etc) from iTunes Store, there is a case their copyright is DRM protected. TouchTheVideo can not playback such DRM protected videos.

 

How to import video files into TTVideo

1.Videos taken with iPhone Camera

Videos taken with “Camera” application and stored in camera roll automatically show up in the “Camera Roll” section in the TouchTheVideo Contents List.

[Notes] When the videos in Camera Roll don’t show up in TouchTheVideo, please refer to following FAQ.

2.Videos taken with a Digital Camera

Use the standard “Photos” application on iPad to import videos from a digital camera connected via “Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit” or “Lightning – USB camera adopter”. Once the videos are imported in “Events” of the Photos application, they will automatically show up in the “Camera Roll/Event” section of TouchTheVideo Content List.

[Notes] When taking videos with a digital camera, please use MP4 codec and so on normally supported on iPad for playback.

3.Copy videos from PC with using “iTunes”

When you have video files in your PC, you can copy them to TouchTheVideo by using iTunes.

  • Launch iTunes on PC

  • Conenct the PC via USB cable to iPhone/iPad where TouchTheVideo is installed. (You do not have to connect via USB when you are using WiFi sync in iOS5.)

  • Click on a device name of your iPhone/iPad displayed under a “DEVICES” list located in the iTunes left panel.

  • Click “Apps” on top menu.

  • Scroll down to “File Sharing” and click the TouchTheVideo in “Apps” list.

  • Then, the right pane of “Apps” list shows “TouchTheVideo Documents”.

  • You can import your PC video files into TouchTheVideo application by clicking “Add…” button at the bottom of the list, or also by doing drag and drop video files directly from Windows Explorer to the document list.

4.Open other applications’ video files from TouchTheVideo

There are two ways as follows.

4-1.”Open In” feature

Some applications such as “Mail” or “Dropbox” support “Open In” feature to open specific files with other application. In such application, tap the “Open In…” button, then a list of apps that can open the file will appear. When the extension of the video file is “mp4”, “m4v” or “mov”, you can find “TouchTheVideo” (T.T.Video) there so that the file can be opened with TouchTheVideo for playback.

4-2.”Save to Photo Library” feature

Some applications such as “Dropbox” support “Save to Photo Library” feature to save specific files to Photo Library.This file automatically show up in the “Camera Roll” section in the TouchTheVideo Contents List.

5.Sync with iTunes Library(iOS5.0 or later)

You can synchronize your videos in your iTunes library such as Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts and iTunes U to your iPhone/iPod/iPad device to instantly start playing back with TouchTheVideo.
